LGNi CORPORATION is strives to provide a safe, efficient and memorable experience for our clients. We put the client’s needs first and foremost and will endeavor to achieve the high standards we work by.
Research & Development has been the thrust area of LGNI since its inception, with the logo “Progress Through Research” emboldening it further.
The primary objectives of LGNI’s R&D Program are to build competencies, capacities, indigenous technologies and conduct country specific studies. Safety, Environmental Concerns, Reliability and Sustainability, either as regulatory challenges or as the quest for advancement, have been the major drivers to select the projects for R&D. Fuel economy, Low emissions, Light Weighting, Ride Comfort, Vehicle Stability & Handling, Reduced Road Damage, and Cost Efficiency are some of the areas where current R&D projects are implemented.
Depending on the nature and scope of the projects, they are implemented by LGNI, leveraging its strength in various automotive engineering domains; or in collaboration with other organizations, synergizing the strength of the consortia. The outcome of these projects like newer services, competencies, products, technologies, are available to industry, government and other stakeholders. Particularly the data and results of various studies under regulation driven projects are useful for the Government or International forum. Recent projects include Simulator for EV Chargers, Hybrid Vehicle Development, HCCI Engine, HCNG Engine, New High Specification 3 Cylinder Engine, Bio-Diesel Engine, Dual Fuel Engine, Electronic Fuel Injection System, Integrated Safety System, Material Data Bank, ECU development for GDI, Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Autonomous Vehicles, Transmission, Vehicle Dynamics, 3D Road Profile, Advanced Front Lighting System (AFLS) solution etc.
Some of the R&D projects of national interest supported by Government of India include Smart Structures implementation in automobiles, development of lightweight bus with Aluminum Superstructure, Offline & Real-time Simulators for EV / HEV, Power boosting of Small Diesel Engines with Supercharger, Duty Cycle of Public Transport Vehicles, Advanced Low Temperature Combustion System, Lightweight Forging Processes, Road Profile Measurement, Ambient Air Quality Monitoring, Measurement of Nano Particle Emissions, Source Profiling of Vehicular Emissions, Material Compatibility for Ethanol Blended Gasoline and Anthropometrical Data Measurement of Indian Driving Population.
